Cambridge Dictionary Changed The Definition of “Woman” – Appeasing Transgenders

The Cambridge Dictionary has followed in the footsteps of the Merriam-Webster dictionary and changed the definition of “woman” for transgenders. Breitbart reported that the change in definition is currently on the site, though it is unknown what time it was recently switched. According to the site’s archives, as far back as March 2022, the Cambridge Dictionary had only had its original definition of the word. That definition was simply “an adult female human being.”

The definition now has a subset of the definition listed as: “an adult who lives and identifies as female though they may have been said to have a different sex at birth.” This definition is then used in two sentences on the site as well. One being “ she was the first trans woman elected to a national office.” The other is “Mary is a woman who was assigned male at birth.”

Breitbart reported that this is following Merriam-Webster as they changed their definition adding in a trans-friendly definition back in July. Their definition added “having a gender identity that is the opposite of male.”
