Late Sunday, November 13th, a deadly shooting occurred on the University of Virginia campus. The shooting is reported to have occurred on a bus full of students returning to campus from a trip to Washington DC. Three students, Davin Chandler, Lavel Davis, and D’Sean Perry are reported to have been killed during the shooting. All three students were members of the school’s football team. Two other students were injured during the shooting, one is in critical condition while the other is in good condition. The suspect was on the loose overnight and early Monday morning but he was found at around 11 a.m. and is now in custody.

The suspect, 22-year-old Chris Jones, is in custody and faces three counts of second-degree murder and three counts of using a handgun in the commission of a felony. Jones was also a member of the school’s football team since 2018.
