Four Pennsylvania men were arrested Thursday morning under charges of sexual abuse of 19 children dating back decades. Pennsylvania’s Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced the arrests Thursday. He also mentioned one of the men shot himself when police showed up to arrest him. According to LNP LancasterOnline, Shapiro said “ These cases are disturbing, the allegations hard to imagine, and all share one common tie. The 19 victims and the four men who are being charged with sexually violating them are all members of Jehovah’s Witnesses.”
The first man, 68-year-old Jose Serrano, a Lancaster Pennsylvania resident has been charged with one count of aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, and endangering the welfare of a child relating to his daughter. He was arrested on allegations of molesting at least 6 girls one of which was his own daughter. A couple of which were at his trial to testify against him even though the crimes he committed against them took place years ago.
Another of the men, 52-year-old Jesse Hill, currently a resident of Georgia was involved in cases with at least 10 boys. He is accused of luring boys to parties and promising alcohol marijuana, and porn.
The third man, 61-year-old Eric Eleam of Butler County, was charged with rape and other offenses towards one female. However, when police attempted to arrest Eleam he shot himself in his home.
The final man, 56-year-old Robert Ostrander, currently a resident of New York State was charged with indecent assault and other related charged towards two females.
