Monday the results from a muli-agency undercover operation were released. In a joint effort from Homeland Security Investigations and Phoenix Police Department, the task force was able to arrest 16 men concerning child sex crimes. This specific mission aimed to reduce the demand for child sex crimes and human trafficking. Throughout, what seemed like a long mission, undercover detectives placed ads on websites commonly sought by suspects seeking illegal sexual acts. When suspects sought out the detective placed ads they were apprehended and arrested.
The Phoenix Police Department has said they routinely conduct similar operations with local, state, and federal agencies. All in efforts to diminish the child sex trafficking and exploitation of children in the Arizona area.
