On the afternoon of September 17th, 18-year-old Devin Clark and 14-year-old Lyric Woods were found shot to death in Mebane North Carolina. The two teens, who were friends according to their families, were last seen September 16th and were reported missing after they did not come home that night. Officials in North Carolina have not been able to release details on the case after they found the pair in accordance with statutes on releasing name’s and case information in relation to juveniles.
The local law enforcement in Mebane, have however arrested a 17-year-old suspect accused of murdering the pair on Buckhorn Road, a rural area of Mebane, on the afternoon of September 17th. The sheriff’s office filed a petition last month to charge this juvenile with two counts of first-degree murder. While they now have the suspect in custody there have been no details released on how they apprehended this person, or how long they were looking for them.
The motive is also, so far, unclear. Clark and Woods were friends, however they did attend separate high schools and no one close to the pair is exactly sure what they were up to from September 16th to the 17th.
