Family Goes Missing After Being Kidnapped in California

Four members of a California family were kidnapped at gunpoint earlier this week.

The family was led out of a business by an armed man before they disappeared. While there is a person of interest, the family has not been seen since the disappearance.

Jesus Manuel Salgado, was identified as a person of interest and later attempted to die by suicide in Atwater Ca. While he did survive, the authorities have not yet been able to speak to him.

The authorities have said there has been no clear motive yet, though Salgado was arrested in 2005 for robbery and so one could assume the disappearance was financially related.

The only footage of the incidence was shown at a press conference held by authorities. The footage shows two of the family members, 36-year-old Jasdeep Singh and 39-year-old Amandeep Singh, arriving to the business at 8:30 am on Monday morning. Then about 30 minutes later a man is seen walking toward the business and speaking with one of the family members, Jasdeep, before both the family members walk into the building. At that time the other man is seen taking out a firearm and going in the business. Around 10 minutes later the man comes back out with the two zip-tied at their hands and put them in the back of a truck before leaving and returning to the scene to only take 27-year-old Jasleen Kaur (Jasdeep’s daughter) and her 8-month old Aroohi Dheri, two other members of the family.

There is unfortunately no footage of the inside of the building as the business did not have cameras. Other members of the family are asking other local businesses to check their footage if they have any surveillance cameras for any leads.
