After the quick shutdown of CNN’s failed streaming service, many were left wondering where exactly that leaves former Fox host Chris Wallace. New reports indicate that Wallace won’t be disappearing from TV screens altogether–like some had hoped- – and instead is moving to HBO’s streaming service.
The Washington Examiner reports:
In December, Wallace announced he was leaving Fox News “to try something new, to go beyond politics to all the things I’m interested in.”
Amid changes at CNN, including the WarnerMedia and Discovery merger, the incoming of new President Chris Licht, and the shutting down of CNN+, Wallace’s future was uncertain.
“I am going to be fine,” Wallace told the Daily Mail shortly after CNN+ shut down. “I’m in good shape whether it’s CNN or someplace else.”
Wallace’s career shift comes a week after incoming CNN CEO Chris Licht released a memo pledging to restore the public’s trust in CNN.
