While many Americans are tuning out of the Golden Globes and other award shows all on their own, new diversity requirements have resulted in NBC not airing the Golden Globes at all this year.
From The Daily Wire:
The fallout over the Hollywood Foreign Press Associations’ (HFPA) alleged lack of ethics reached a nadir this week when NBC announced that it will not air the Golden Globe Awards next year.
In a statement, the network said that the “magnitude” of diversity and ethical changes takes too much time and work to be handled in under a year, and the network will thus forgo airing the awards in 2022.
“We continue to believe that the HFPA is committed to meaningful reform,” NBC said in a statement. “However, change of this magnitude takes time and work, and we feel strongly that the HFPA needs time to do it right. As such, NBC will not air the 2022 Golden Globes. Assuming the organization executes on its plan, we are hopeful we will be in a position to air the show in January 2023.”
It is also being reported that actor Tom Cruise will be returning several of his rewards as a form of protest. The actor will be returning two Best Actor awards he won for his role in Jerry Maguire and Born on the Fourth of July as well as his award for Best Supporting Actor in Magnolia.
Hey Follywood: Go WOKE, go BROKE!
Next to professional sports, Hollywood is the 2nd most inconsequential thing in our lives.
How can Hollywood ever exist if they can’t cash in on SEX. Men who treated are as monsters, for them liking the female form, will not pay the cost of being hated.
There has always been the wish for “MORE SENSITIVE” men, well Hollywood can’t push sexuality on the girlymen they ended up developing. I guess the old adage is true. “Becareful what you wish for”
And, nobody frickking cares, anymore, because now, Holly-weird, is become mostly garbage…so take-out the trash!
This could not happen to a more deserving group. No great loss as far as I am concerned.
