High Court Judge Says The Lockdown Will Last 10 Years…

Former British Supreme Court Judge Lord Sumption is warning that the lockdown brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic might be kept in place for 10 years.

Lord Sumption has been a long time critic of the lockdown and has compared it to government rationing, something that lasted 9 years after the end of the second world war. While speaking on the effects of the pandemic Lord Sumption said “An interesting parallel is the continuation of wartime food rationing after the last war. People were in favor of that because they were in favor of social control”.

These comments from Lord Sumption came just after officials in the UK claiming that the country will remain lockdown until other countries vaccinate their citizenry. The process of mass vaccination will take years to achieve as many nations have slow rolled the process and some have recalled specific vaccines.

Lord Sumption has been a staunch critic of the Covid-19 lockdown and general response to the pandemic. In November of 2020 he wrote an op-ed for the Daily Mail outlining his criticism of the “government control freaks”.

From The Daily Mail:

The Prime Minister is not even interested in death, except as an aspect of public relations management.

And that is the heart of the problem – PR has taken over from serious policy-making.

Boris Johnson knows that restrictions over Christmas would be deeply unpopular, widely ignored and catastrophic for the retail and hospitality industries.

So he will soon announce their temporary suspension, behaving as if our lives belonged to the state and Christmas was an act of indulgence on his part.
