An aide for President Joe Biden is alleged to have said that the Covid-19 pandemic was the “best thing that ever happened” for Biden.
Anita Dunn, who was the aide who allegedly made these comments, was referring to the impact on the voting public with the comments.
These remarks are coming forward in a new book called Lucky: How Joe Biden Won The Presidency. The book is written by Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes, it will be available in bookstores on March 2nd. The Guardian published these comments after receiving an advanced copy of the book. With the comment came the following quote; “It was, the authors add, a necessarily private comment that ‘campaign officials believed but would never say in public.”
The comments allegedly made by Anita Dunn are shocking but nothing new. Many political analysts who studied the 2020 election said that this was a major factor and one that definitely helped Biden in the long run.
The name Anita Dunn may be familiar to long time readers, in 2009 Dunn was the White House Communications director who was forced to resign after caught on camera praising the Chinese Communist Dictator Mao Zedong. She referred to the Communist dictator as one of “her favorite political philosophers”.
