340 Children in Africa were rescued by the Nigerian Airforce in an epic Hollywood esque raid. It was originally believed that the children were kidnapped by a terror group called Boko Haram, however this may not be the case. It is still believed however that the children were kidnapped to be raised as child soldiers. More from The BBC:

Jihadist militant group Boko Haram had claimed to have been behind the mass kidnapping but some experts were sceptical because it occurred well outside their normal area of operations.
Kidnapping Children is not abnormal in more rural parts of Africa, the unfortunate reality is that terror groups and warlords are looking to grow their armies. This is not the first time this has happened and this will likely not be the last time either.
