The Public Interest Legal Foundation has filed a lawsuit against Harris County Texas over its adding of non-citizens to voter rolls. It is commonplace to ask on voter registration forms if the applicant is a citizen of the country, if they answer no they are not supposed to be added to the voter rolls. More from The New American:
The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) — a public-interest law firm dedicated to election integrity that has been involved in legal cases in nine states and the District of Columbia — filed a lawsuit against Harris County, Texas, on September 28, asserting that the state’s largest county has allowed foreign nationals to register to vote. In a petition filed in the Court of Appeals for the 14th District of Texas in Houston, PILF seeks to compel Harris County Voter Registrar Ann Bennett to follow Texas election laws and reject insufficient voter applications.
Harris County, which includes Houston, had more than four million people in the last census, and is the largest county by population in Texas.
A September 28 report in Texas Scorecard noted: “Only U.S. citizens are allowed to vote in Texas elections, and it’s a violation of both state and federal law for non-citizens to vote or register to vote. But in Texas and elsewhere, registering to vote requires no documentation to verify citizenship — applicants merely check a box affirming they’re U.S. citizens.”
This concerning practice has been justly hit with a lawsuit and will likely result in some serious penalties for Harris County. The practice of adding non-citizens to voter rolls is highly illegal and The Public Interest Legal Foundation has a solid case to pursue in Harris County.
I beg to differ that we Catholics are not Christian, we were the first Christians. The Pope is derived from St. Paul as being the first Pope. If that is not based on Christian roots then I don’t know what is. We have a lot of traditions with the church but Protestant Reformation doesn’t change the fact that we are Christian. I won’t recognize that Only Baptists, Methodists, Amish, Mennonite etc. are the only Christians. Like all Humans we are not all free of sin and we are not all above reproach, I agree we like your church whatever it is all have indiscretions and we all need to be better and should constantly work to improve and be more Christlike. I dare you to prove that whatever church you attend is pure as the driven snow and that no one in your church has ever done anything wrong. I have never as a life long Catholic agreed or condone any of the corruption that has occurred in our Church and would hope that you feel the same as I when anything similar is found in your church. We must all do our best to root out any of that garbage anytime it is found.
I tire of the fact that We as Catholics aren’t somehow considered Christians. I am not Latino and mostly German roots but family has been in this country since late 1800s. Raised Catholic and 60 years old male. I have not been the best Christian but I go to church and raised my kids to be good and responsible adults. I hope they raise their kids in a responsible way and also be good Christian Catholics.
99.9% of Latin Americans are Catholic, not Christian. The ones from Mexico have an Etch A Schetch attitude, confess to a priest and your sin is gone. Too bad, they love the Pope so much, they can’t see corruption in their church. Keep having babies for the American people to support. Their own country is corrupt, I guess they are used to it. But, still not the kind of folks to have the decency and common sense to vote in an election of the people of the United States. If they came here illegally, and are still here illegally, they should not vote. When and if they become citizens and are sworn into citizenship by the United States, that’s different.
The fact that the Harris County Circuit Clerk and Registrars are willfully and knowingly signing up these non-citizens is CRIMINAL in its own right. They should be immediately confronted and the task of eliminating their votes without an American birth certificate should be implemented NOW ! Don’t wait until November 3. I’m reporting this to the proper authorities.
If they come illegally they shouldn’t have a pathway to citizenship! Those who come across legally should be the only ones with a pathway to citizenship only. If this route were taken, we would have a lot less illegals especially if border patrol were actually able to do their jobs as they did in the early 80’s.
I AGREE!
Your first statement is incorrect. The initial Christian religion WAS Catholic!!!! Catholics are Christians!!!!!
Illegals – no matter WHERE they’re from – and other non-citizens should NOT be voting. Oh – and don’t fall into the trap of thinking that all the illegals are Latino – there are MANY Chinese and other groups, including Irish!!!!
It was proven in the 2016 election there was 500k registered to vote in Texas. Out of that 500k, 100k voted. I’m like Trump, I believe this election to be rigged by the Democrats to be won by them.
globalist puppet $oro$, puppet barry soetoro appointed all the correct criminals to the correct positions to protect all their criminals .
Liberals don’t believe in long standing values, laws, or American sovereignty. Cheating and hypocrisy is a virtue in their world.
Illegals began to vote in American Elections after receiving approval from at the time, President Obama went on TV and urged illegals to vote, stating “immigration will not show up at your Doorstep, go out and vote”. Democrats actually attempted to state that Obama was speaking to American citizens. If you believe that, I,have a bridge I want to sell you. Immigration would not be showing up at thE doorstep of a legal citizen because you vote.
The whole reason for having an ID with US citizen on it to verify qualifying vote. Texas is not totally on the ball with this obviously.
While I firmly believe that citizens should only be allowed to vote, I also believe this could backfire on the Democrats in a huge way. Trump has been very good for the Hispanic population job-wise also. In addition, most Hispanics are Christians, they do not believe in aborting and killing babies. Would be a great reason for them to vote Republican.
It is important that law enforcement verify the citizenship status of each voter, particularly in Houston! Violators MUST BE PROSECUTED!
The law enforcement mechanisms must kick in and operate or it is all futile,
Enforce the law!!!
THIS IS UN AMERICAN………………IF YOU ARE NOT A CITIZEN YOU MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO VOTE. WHAT THE HELL IS THE MATTER WITH THESE IDIOTS? GO TO MEXICO, GO TO FRANCE, SPAIN ANYWHERE ELSE YOU CAN’T THEY WON’T LET YOU VOTE SO WHY DO THESE MORONS THINK THIS IS OK? IS ISN’T AND MUST BE STOPPED NOW. SUE THEM AND STOP THIS INSANITY! WE ARE WATCHING….THEY ARE DESTROYING OUR COUNTRY!
O Olan , I totally Agree !! We better stop this Madness Fast !!
It was Harris County Voter Registrar Ann Bennett’s attempt at vote fraud.
That is why all those Libs are moving to Texas and this is what happens so do not except any of their votes
This definitely wrong, non citizens should not vote.
This is exactly why the President received so much crap when he wanted to include a citizenship question on the census form. It was not voted in so this is going to be wide spread violations.
Exactly, when people appose asking for citizenship before voting, you know they are counting on committing vote fraud. Then the most egregious ruling in U.S. judicial history happened when a federal court ruled that states could count illegal aliens for the purpose of increasing representatives in the House of Representatives. This ruling is the stuff of civil wars.
I just finished my work as a Census Enumerator. In the Census, there was no question for Citizenship. Why? I was under the impression that the Census is also used to allocate seats in the House of Representatives. So, this news is very much along that line. Democrats ensured that there would not be a Citizenship question on the Census. How much more crooked can they get? Stay tuned.
