Florida Representative Matt Gaetz is pushing for an investigation into 2020 Presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg. The primary focus of this investigation would be the actions of bribery and vote-buying from the Bloomberg campaign in Gaetz’s home territory of Florida. These allegations come from the recent story about Bloomberg spending $16 million to pay for the fines and fees of Felons in the state so they can vote in the upcoming election. More from the Washington Post:
Bloomberg, who has committed at least $100 million to electing Biden in the state, raised the money from individuals and foundations over the past week, his advisers said. He saw the donations as a more cost-effective way of adding votes to the Democratic column than investing money to persuade voters who already have the right to vote, a Bloomberg memo said.
This election has quickly become one of the most heated political battles in American history and as the days go on things are only getting more serious as every cheat and fraudster is looking to get in on the action. Here is the tweet from Representative Matt Gaetz on his announcement for the potential investigation.
