Body Of Frozen Newborn Baby Found In Upstate New York Parking Lot

A body of a frozen newborn baby, with its umbilical cord, still attached has been discovered in a vacant parking lot in upstate New York. As The Daily Mail reports:

The frozen body of a newborn baby was found in a vacant parking lot in a small city in upstate New York earlier this week.

According to a press release from the Port Jervis Police Department, officers responded to a 911 call around 10.27pm Tuesday night about the infant who was found lying on the ground at the lot located at 39 Orange Street.

Chief William J. Worden said the baby appeared to have been born recently and even had the umbilical cord still attached.

An autopsy was performed by the Orange County Medical Examiner and detectives are awaiting results of toxicology and further testing.

Police have identified the mother of the child but her name is currently not being released the investigation is still pending.
