Jeffrey Epstein’s autopsy revealed broken bones around his neck, pointing towards murder rather than suicide. Fox News reports:
The hyoid bone, which is near the Adam’s apple, can be broken in a suicide by hanging – especially in older people – but is more common in strangulation murders, The Washington Post reported.
Epstein, 66, was found Saturday hanging in his cell in an “apparent suicide” at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City, where he was being held on sex trafficking charges.
He was placed on suicide watch in July but was removed from it by the end of the month.
Epstein’s time in custody has been highly secretive, with many rumors circulating about being attacked by his cellmate, a disgraced NYPD officer. Considering that the facility was poorly managed, would it be possible that someone entered Epstein’s cell to kill him? Or that he had a cellmate who killed him while no one was looking?
