A wounded veteran has started crowdfunding for building the wall on GoFundMe. The Daily Caller reports:
A GoFundMe page dedicated to funding a border wall between the U.S. and Mexico is quickly raking in millions of dollars from tens of thousands of donors.
Brian Kolfage, a Purple Heart veteran and triple amputee, created a “We The People Will Fund The Wall” GoFundMe page Sunday, calling on Americans to donate whatever they can to fund a wall on the country’s southern border. The GoFundMe page since skyrocketed in popularity, surpassing $1 million in donations from more than 16,000 donors Wednesday.
The crowdfunding effort doesn’t appear to be slowing down. In fact, donations are raking in a faster rate.
As of publication of this article, Kolfage’s GoFundMe page raised over $5,423,000 from more than 80,900 donors. Many of the contributions are small in size, with numerous people donating $50 or less. Countless people have donated $1,000; three have donated $5,000; and one donation totaled $10,015.
The rate of raising funds is impressive, but it will likely not meet its required goals. It has however waken up the GOP Establishment in showing just how much people want a wall.

Money from a GoFundMe site has to be used for what it is collected for and not other things. There has been some question about people who have posted false things to get money for themselves and who will be going to jail. Everyone who can should send emails to Trump to advise him that this is happening. So very glad that it is building so quickly in such a short time!
Saw the Air Force Vet that is doing this interviewed on Fox News. Apparently he is pushing to get the wall built. When the libbies shut you down (Facebook) you know whose side he is on.
This is a great idea, we need more leaders like this. Where are they beside this great servant of this country. We owe home so much for all he has gone through serving our country.
At 100,000 participants, the POTUS has to take notice. As of the writing of this meme, we had over 89,000; that’s 11,000 short of the goal!
What a great idea. One I had but did not know how to do it. Glad someone did it. Hope it continues to grow and President Trump finds out about it. I think he would be very pleased with the efforts and he could use this to prove that we the people want a strong wall.

If the “establishment” members of Congress had any self respect as public servants they would see what millions of true Americans want and they would provide enough money to build the wall.
Of coarse we wont raise enough for ‘the wall’ but we will raise enough for a big chunk of it. in the past I have donated ‘bricks’ for libraries and hospitals at two hundred dollars a clip and the buildings got built. It’s the principal that counts. I can hear the snarky comments from Democrats in the news about our project but my thanks to the brave warrior who started this miracle.

And yet earlier today I read an article accusing the webmaster or whomever oversees the GoFundMe pages of burying the address for the GoFundMe/the wall. This is nothing less than censorship and a 1st Amendment violation. Americans who truly view a real border wall or fence or whatever euphemism you choose , are more concerned about getting the security of a wall than who is paying for it! They are willing to help pay for it above and beyond their tax obligations. This is true patriotism and true love for one’s country and her citizens on display!

unfortunately gofundme is a private organization and they’re capable of suppressing free speech. That said had the Libs won the cake baking case ; that could arguably be used to hang em by the short hairs here.
The real answer is to start a conservative crowd funding site that doesn’t let the libs play along. should be trivial to do. However, the secret sauce is to get a bunch of universal worthwhile causes on the site BEFORE you start doing the conservative thing; play fair, but make it so that they have to shoot themselves in the foot to DDOS the site. because THEY are SCUM.

Just keep it out of the hands of the politicians. They seem to have no trouble spending money that this country does not have. I am sure that some of them will look at this money as hitting the lottery.
Great point. They could easily divert much of it for “administration” costs, or whatever other nonsense they routinely use to waste our tax dollars and enrich themselves. Public coffers will always be abused.
There seems to be a 10% fee added to donations – think this is WAY too much! If they had said every donation will be charged a $1 fee for processing that would be a lot of money in itself. I think the idea is wonderful and the funds will undoubtedly reach Trump in some way but the added fees seem over the top!!!
