President Trump has put his foot down on the migrant caravan, threatening to close the border with military force if necessary. Breitbart reports:
President Donald Trump threatened Thursday to send the military to block the migrant caravan heading for the United States border.
“I must, in the strongest of terms, ask Mexico to stop this onslaught – and if unable to do so I will call up the U.S. Military and CLOSE OUR SOUTHERN BORDER!” Trump wrote on Twitter.
The caravan of migrants that began in Honduras has grown to several thousand people after passing into Guatemala as it heads for the Mexican border. Other Hondurans are leaving the country to join it.
Trump threatened to stop all federal payments to Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador if the countries failed to block the flow and blamed Democrats for rejecting a reform of immigration laws allowing them to claim asylum. He also claimed that the caravan included criminals.
It’s time to hold other countries accountable for their actions.
“Trump to Call Troops to Defend the Border” is a far cry from ‘Threatening’ to send the military to block a migrant caravan. Sounds like threatening your children with punishment for breaking house rules. JUST DO IT! Please show me the caravan of US military getting IN PLACE at the US border. Almost 2 years later and we are still having same discussion .. it’s just a different day.
Walls can be breached. Real security would be more border guards and turning back ALL who are trying to enter illegally. Never mind wasting money on the courts after letting these illegals over the border. What is there to understand about legal versus illegal entry into the country? I don’t leave my door open for anyone to enter my home with the expectation that I will feed them, house them, provide all the benefits afforded our legal residents.
Right on.
Don’t let even one person illegally enter the USA.
