A Washington Post reporter, in an attempt to deflect the fact that most political violence in the country comes from the Left, has decided to spew a common falsehood. The Daily Wire reports:
A reporter for The Washington Post, apparently enraged that National Review issued an op-ed correctly denouncing the Democratic Party for their recent rhetoric that has stoked the flames of violence, issued a tweet in which he blamed “right-wing anger/mobs” for instigating the shooting of Congresswoman Gabby Giffords in 2011.
This Nat'l Review editorial would have a lot more potency if NR owned up to fact that 2010 right-wing anger/mobs played a role in dehumanizing Congress, helping lead to Giffords shooting in 2011. https://t.co/7Nd37igSEg

Kane should know better; the shooter who targeted Giffords, Jared Loughner, was shown to have no political leanings, a fact that was offered in response to his irresponsible tweet:
The mainstream media is trusted by fewer Americans than ever before, and stunts like this will not help their credibility.
