If anyone bothered to read Roe Vs Wade you would know that the only reason it was upheld was for the right of a person to have privacy in their medical decisions. The right to life has not been correctly fought on the true problem in this law. That would be the question the court asked: Define “Person”, a person as defined is an individual protected by the constitution under the term people, as in “We the people”. For the court to properly apply the constitution to this question, It is the job of the House in Congress to define this, not the court. If the Congress used the scientific findings of today instead of the 1960’s an individual is a single person at the creation of its DNA. DNA identifies everyone as an individual (person) and has been the standard in court rulings. The counter to this from the left is that the child is dependent on the mother while in the whom, so it is not an individual however, anyone in a hospital that is on life support could be terminated without their consent using that argument. It is the Congress that needs to act on this and all of you that believe a child has a right to life should force you reps to address this issue. Charlay Lunneigh July 11, 2018 i SUPPORT THIS CANDIDATE AND I BELIEVE HE WILL BACK ROE VS WADE THAT IS THE BEST COMPROMISE ALL SIDES CAN MAKE. I HOPE HE GETS CONFIRMED AND SOON. Charlay Lunneigh July 11, 2018 My preliminary thoughts are that he is the kind of Supreme Court Justice we need more of. But I want to see him support the Roe vs Wade result as the only result that can keep Americans being a bit civil to each other. It was a compromise that gave both sides as much as it could. I FULLY EXPECT KAVANAUGH TO SUPPORT ROE VS WADE. El Tejas July 10, 2018 Would not have been my first choice but nevertheless if he is confirmed by the Senate he will make a fine addition to the court. Gary L Johnson July 10, 2018 None of us knows this new pick, but so far President Trump has not failed us even once, so I trust in his judgment for this nominee. Forget the rhetoric of the left, any potential scotus pick should “ALWAYS” be chosen based upon their previous actions and deeds, “NOT” upon a “WHAT IF” campaign drummed up by the left! “WHAT IF” the left disappears? Now that would be a nice thought!! Sandra Holzbach July 10, 2018 I trust President Trump and his nominee. Let us remember the actions of the Democrats come November. We must do all that we can to kill the deep state. Bill Cash July 10, 2018 It will be interesting to see how the democrats fight this nomination. THis guy has an outstanding record in many areas. So the distorsions that may be thrown at him from the left will be strictly political, But they (the left) have already said they will try to kill any nomination regardless of the qualifications. It’s strange that the direction taken is what a nominee “might” do or how she/he would vote on any given court case instead of the outstanding qualification a nominee may have and the record of their personna. It displays the disregard they have for selection of the highest decision making body in the nation. Let us hope that the entire voting citizenry will pay close attention to the confirmation process in this case and put the nation first instead of some political farce. Marlene deRonde July 10, 2018 Superb choice before, I expect this to be as well. I will trust Trump. GladysMP July 10, 2018 Looks like Trump picked a great Supreme Court nominee. I am praying he will be voted into the job without a lot of idiotic noise and picketing. Our country seems to definitely be headed in the right direction. haz July 10, 2018 Whoever the President picks I am sure will be a fair Judge. James Higginbotham July 10, 2018 we DON’T NEED ANOTHER KENNEDY.
