Pastor Darrell Scott, a White House adviser and key black ally of President Trump, is planning several summits on race involving athletes, artists, and the president that will be held at the White House.
The Cleveland-based pastor told Politico that the idea came from Trump’s public camaraderie with rapper Kanye West last week. Scott will reportedly meet with Trump on Thursday to pitch the idea.
“It’s going to be unscripted, unfiltered, blunt,” Scott told Politico. “No topic is off the table.”
Scott’s effort is backed by Andrew Giuliani, a top White House aide and son of Trump lawyer and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. The pastor is a board member and co-founder, alongside Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen, of National Diversity Coalition for Trump.
