Conservative Hero Explains RINO Budget Fail

Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, argued Thursday that the $1.3 trillion spending bill the House passed Thursday is an “atrocity” because President Trump wasn’t involved in the negotiations.

Gohmert and other conservatives opposed the 2,232-page bill, which they only had a few hours to digest before it hit the House floor. Deficit hawks said it would lead to more debt, and failed to implement the GOP’s plan to build a border wall.

Gohmert said on the House floor that Trump should have been more involved.

“Unfortunately, though the president is an amazing negotiator, he graciously allowed the House leaders and the Democratic leaders to do the negotiating,” he said after reading news reports in which Democrats claimed victory against Republicans.
