The Department of Defense retweeted a post Thursday calling for the president’s resignation.
The Pentagon marred its Twitter presence briefly by retweeting a post from a Twitter user named “PROUD RESISTER” that proposed a so-called “simple” solution to the sexual harassment situation going on in Washington. The Twitter user appears to be a staunch critic of the right, as well as the president, and seems to be affiliated with the website proudresister.com, which sells resistance merchandise.
Unlike the act of liking a post, retweeting is a two-step process.
The Defense Department's official Twitter account — @deptofdefense — retweeted a comment saying Trump should resign. It's since been unretweeted pic.twitter.com/bLA8QAo4Sc

The Department of Defense promptly undid the retweet, but not before journalists and other Twitter users noticed and took screenshots.
