Think before you give Lucky and Tiger another mouthful! They may look cute and affectionate, your dog and your cat, but at heart, they are ravening planet-destroying creatures whose insatiable appetite for meat and deadly feces threatens to kill us all with deadly global warming.
Or so says a study from UCLA’s Institute of the Environment and Sustainability on the Environmental impacts of food consumption by dogs and cats.
According to the study, by geography professor Gregory S. Okin, the 163 million cats and dogs in the U.S. alone eat so much meat that if they were a country they would be the fifth largest meat consumer after Russia, Brazil, the U.S., and China.
Also, they produce 5.1 million tons of feces — the same as is produced by 90 million human Americans.

There is enough world for all of us. The government and people in general need to quit trying to come up with different things to try to control. It’s been working forever, I’m sure man will blow up the entire earth before a cat or dog can ruin it.
I agree! The left needs to mind their own business and stop worrying about my animals! If they want to do something they can close down the puppy and kitten mills! Dogs and cats don’t like living on their poop either!
I agree. They are foul smelling wastes of resources. And their owners (many) think that everyone else should be thrilled and feel honored that they will use your property as their dog park.
I used to hear a variety of song birds in the garden/outside every spring. Domesticated cats have decimated the songbird population. Again, irresponsible cat owners allow their cats to run free and use their neighbors’ gardens as catboxes.
Good pets are as scarce as responsible pet owners.
And don’t get me started on fake “service animals”. (Ok I’m started) This is an outward manifestation of a mental illness and social ineptitude.
