Chris Kennedy, son of the late Robert F. Kennedy, has announced he’s running for Illinois governor, ending months of speculation.
“We can do better,” Kennedy said in a video statement announcing his candidacy Wednesday.
Kennedy is running against Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner, who has been engaged in an epic fight with the state legislature, which has left the state without a budget for 19 months.
