A CBS legal executive who made comments stating that she didn’t feel sympathy over the Las Vegas massacre has been fired, according to a statement issued by CBS.
CBS Vice President and senior counsel Hayley Geftman-Gold addressed the Las Vegas massacre on a Facebook page, and about the mass shooting commented, “I’m actually not even sympathetic bc [sic] country music fans often are Republican gun toters [sic].”
After the comments went viral, the thread was deleted and, by all accounts, Geftman-Gold’s social media presence disappeared.
TheBlaze reached out to CBS earlier on Monday after the comments were brought to light. CBS initially told TheBlaze that they were investigating the matter.
